Summit Elevator was founded by Nick and Rachel Koch in 2022. Nick has 10 years of experience in working with residential elevators and ADA equipment. Nick started in the elevator industry working for his family’s company, Koch Elevator, and growing the residential sector of that business to one of the most successful in the Reno and Lake Tahoe area. Nick wanted to take his 10+ years of experience in residential elevators and branch out from the family elevator business to start his own company, Summit Elevator. Summit Elevator is happy to be able to serve the Reno, Tahoe areas with high quality residential elevators, and any ADA equipment needs with confidence.

Meet Our Team
Rachel Koch
Rachel handles the day to day operations and administrative duties of Summit Elevator. Born and raised in Reno, NV, Rachel is in her element in sunshine. If she is not sending out the residential elevator invoicing, or getting the paperwork together for a stair chair install, she enjoys hiking with the dogs and her boys. She believes in moving your body for optimal health. Homeschooling is something she enjoys the challenge of, and getting all the quality time with her son is priceless. Through homeschooling she became a chicken keeper and loves to hang out with the “henny hens.” She can also be found at the endless sports that her boys are involved in, either being the athlete or the coach.
Nick Koch
When not doing site visits, trouble calls, residential elevator installs, or any of the countless other tasks that come with being the owner of Summit Elevator, Nick loves to fill his time with anything outdoors. An avid golfer and PGA professional, Nick enjoys being on the course. During the summer, hiking and camping are a must for him. If he is not installing a residential elevator, he would love to be involved in whatever his kids are doing. Nick is a devoted Dad to two boys, often coaching their sports teams, and always finding a way to teach them something new.
Scott - Project Manager
Scott is Summit Elevators project manager. He loves golfing and anything involving his rottweiler Axel. Scott went to high school in the Reno area, and enjoys getting to Tahoe whenever possible. He is an avid Texas Longhorns fan, and enjoys watching all the games. Scotts professionalism and organization have been just what the team at Summit elevator needed.
Cameron - Mechanic
Cameron is our main mechanic that handles the installation of the residential elevators. Cameron’s brain is a treasure trove full of mechanical, and electrical wonder, especially relating to residential elevators. In his spare time, when he is not installing a new residential elevator or helping a veteran get up and down the stairs in their new stair chair, Cameron enjoys motorcycle roadracing. He may also be spotted indoor/outdoor rock climbing. He loves the sport for both it’s mental and physical challenges he continuously overcomes. Cameron enjoys camping around the Reno/Tahoe area during the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
Sean - Mechanic
Sean lives life to the fullest, and does so with a smile on his face. An Air Force vet, he gets fulfillment out of helping the veteran community in the Reno Tahoe area. When he isn't installing residential elevators at Summit, he is busy working on his degree in marketing. Summit is enthralled to have such a "swiss army knife" on our team. Sean also enjoys camping and floating the river, getting together with friends and hot yoga.
Andrew - Mechanic
Andrew completed Summit's install crew. Andrew gains professional achievement by completing installs with pride in his work. He is an Army vet, and the opportunity to give back to the veteran community gives him a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. Andrew is an amazing husband, and is looking forward to growing his family in the future. He is grinding in school right now. On his days off he works on his school assignments, and gets as much quality time with his wife as possible. Andrew also enjoys going to hot yoga weekly with the Summit family.

Rachel Koch
